upholstery & restoration

An occasional chair passed down through the generations or a new piece of furniture incorporating your own ideas, upholstery, reupholstery, restoration and re-covering allow you to create unique furniture for your home or business.

Furniture restoration

Restoring furniture is the epitome of sustainability in home furnishings.

Restoration is perfect for chairs that need complete rejuvenation. Zoë’s team of restorers will mend loose parts and attend to scratches, providing you with an authentic frame, ready for reupholstery.

When considering reupholstering chair seats and backs, new fabric may be the first thing that comes to mind – a return to former glory or a contemporary change of look and feel. Reupholstery may also involve replacing the springs, webbing and stuffing.

Zoë and the team are diligent, patient and kind in their restoration; they understand the significance of heirloom furniture and treasured pieces. Contact Zoë today to discuss your piece of furniture.

New furniture and upholstery

Zoë’s team of craftsmen and women are able to build furniture anew, either to a bespoke design or a replica of another piece. Once the frame is created, upholstery is next involving webbing, stuffing, fabric and trim choices as well as intricate attention to detail.

If you’ve seen something you like or have a design in mind, get in touch with Zoë to discuss next steps.

Re-covering

Re-covering is a relatively simple way to refresh sofas and chairs, breathing new life into a room. Re-covering involves changing the top fabric only of a chair or sofa and any trim as required.

This is a great way to change the décor of a room without having to buy new furniture.

Zoë and the team can also make removable, washable, loose covers which are fantastic if you have pets and young children.
